A Childcare Educator is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, and helping them develop their physical, emotional, and cognitive skills. The role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, supervising play and learning experiences, and communicating with parents and colleagues.
Responsibilities may include:
- Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for children.
- Observing and documenting children’s progress and behavior.
- Providing a safe and healthy environment for children.
- Communicating with parents and colleagues about children’s progress and needs.
Assisting with feeding, diapering, and other basic needs of children.
Maintaining a clean and organized classroom.
• Adhering to licensing regulations and childcare policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Childcare Diploma level 4 (or applied for).
Pediatric first aid (or applied for). - Food handling (or applied for).
- Experience with young children will be consider as asset.
Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods. - Ability to plan and implement a variety of activities that promote children’s physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Good organizational and time-management skills. - Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain a valid working permit.
- Wiling to follow the academic course on childcare and child development.
