A storekeeper is responsible for receiving, organizing, and maintaining inventory in a store or warehouse to ensure efficient operations and timely availability of goods.
Job Description:
- Unloading and receiving of goods.
- Checking, carrying and loading goods.
- Assisting and seeing to warehouse customers.
- Updating the stock inventory system on a regular basis.
- Conducting basic IT-related operations within the warehouse, as needed.
- Contributing to the general warehouse upkeep and cleanliness.
- Adhering to health and safety and stock management requirements.
- Reporting damages and assist the storekeeper with any discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping purposes.
- Ensuring that the store is kept clean and organized.
- Assisting in other daily operations as required.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary level of education and higher.
- Good command of the English language.
- Proven experience as a storekeeper.
