The plumbers shall be responsible to install, maintain and repair pipes, PPR PVC piping and fixtures associated with heating, cooling, water distribution and sanitation systems in residential and commercial sites.
Job Description:
- Interpreting blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems and other plumbing materials
- Installing pipes, drainage pipes and junctions
- Installing supports for pipes, equipment and fixtures prior to installation
- Assembling fittings and valves for installation
- Modifying length of pipes, fixtures and other plumbing materials as needed for a building
- Using the appropriate tools to each task
- Collaborating with contractors, construction workers, electricians, pipefitters and steamfitters in installing and repairing plumbing
- Carrying out maintenance work such as pumping and draining
- Installing and adjusting equipment or equipment for drainage water and drinking water supply, as needed
- Checking progress of work and its execution
- Choosing materials and stock raw materials as needed
- Diagnosing installation malfunctions and repairing broken parts as needed
- Following health and safety standard and complying with building codes
- Taking note and reporting any problems and summary of actions taken
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge as plumbing
- Related vocational training certificates and experience required
- Secondary level of education or higher
- Fluency in Maltese and /or Arabic (in order to be able to communicate with the rest of the current team)
- Driving license will be considered an asset
- Physical stamina and strength
